I'm a shy person who loves animals, but I want to meet people too. I'm vegetarian. I live a fairly isolated life on the West Coast of NZ, but I'm always exploring the world and ideas with my mind. I love learning about history, and learning new things. I have written two books about NZ history. I'm fascinated by so many things and would like to meet new friends who share my enthusiasm.

I travelled a lot in my 20s and would like to do some more exploring. I've had good times in Australia, England, Scotland, India, Nepal, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. I'd really like to do some hiking and kayaking in the US. I'd like to travel more in Europe, especially further east from Poland to Russia and beyond. I'd also like to one day visit my ancestral homes of Denmark and the Netherlands.
