I’m a tattooed English teacher who listens to rock and the odd bit of metal to get her up hills when she runs. I love a cold beer in a hot bath, hanging out with my nieces and nephews, vintage clothes and handbags and writing (what I suspect is fairly terrible) poetry.

I speak English fairly poorly! I’m in awe of anyone who is good at languages. I really enjoyed studying BSL.

I’m usually pretty easy going, but selfishness makes me angry quite quickly. (I’m willing to go along with whatever until I’m not.) If I cry it’s usually out of frustration, but I am getting increasingly soft in my oldish age.

My job is both the best job and the worst in the world. It wrecks me and rewards me on a regular basis and I veer wildly between feeling privileged and taken advantage of. (I’m a teacher.)

On a good day, teaching is my ideal job. (On a bad day, I fantasise about a time when I had a ‘proper job’ with evenings, weekends and flexi-time and people called me by my first name.)

Drinking beer (the good stuff - stout and porter - and the darker, sweeter and stronger the better), the odd bit of sewing, writing a bit of poetry and procrastinating. Fantasising about one day owning a motorbike.
