Turning 50 next year... do have good friends, many for a long time, but distance or life has gotten in the way of regularly getting together. I do have a new family myself--had a case of love at first sight almost 7 years ago, left a 19-year-old marriage for it, and have been with my new partner officially four years now, getting married next year; it was a good choice, but did turn my life upside down for a while... still friends with my ex and things have come back into balance. Looking for potential friends who like to hang out and talk, maybe try new restaurants, see films, go for walks... I am complex, but not complicated... like many different things, but have overall simple tastes.

English and French... can read Spanish and German, but will probably answer in English.

Hang out and talk, go to the movies, do yoga, go for walks, snowshoe (but I am slow, lol, so I could not keep up with more athletic types), learn languages--currently learning Lebanese Arabic to be able to communicate with my future mother-in-law better, playing musical instruments (I play the violin, mandolin and ukelele... an amateur, but I love it and have fun with it)

I do love books, but since I read all day in my job as a translator and editor, I do not often choose to read for pleasure, and will instead play music (I play a few instruments), exercise or spend time with people. I am, however, reading the Warrior Goddess Way by HeatherAsh Amara... would love to start up a book club around this.

Very ecletic... favourite bands growing up (and still love): XTC, The Police and The Clash. Love Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, The Cure, Billy Bragg, The Alarm, The Beatles, old Elton John, America, David Usher, Phoenix, truly too many to mention.
