Integritas - Fides - Perseverantia
Short Summary: Engineer, volunteer, photographer, adventurer, gamer, husband, father of 3.
Long version:
Born in Ontario, I moved to Alberta to follow my heart. Though I miss the trees and forests, I fell in love with the Rockies and enjoy a challenging hike and time in the wilderness.
I have many diverse and varied hobbies and interests, though with a full time job, active volunteer with several organizations and being a husband and father of 3, I don't find enough time to pursue all my hobbies. To name a few: board games (honestly, it's more of an obsession), photography, cooking, baking, hiking, camping, reading, watching almost any Sci Fi. I wanted to be a professional student, but it didn't pay well, so now I consider myself a life-long learner.
I'm typically a quiet and reserved introvert but enjoy meeting new people. I'm much more open one-on-one and tend to retreat into being a silent observer in larger groups, though I surprise people with my dry wit with a mix of sarcasm.
I'm here looking for new friends. I miss the close friends I had throughout my time at university. When I first moved to Alberta life got too busy with my career and family to build new friendships so I'm here to fix that.
Rules for contacting me:
(1) If you're kind and sincere, I'm open to friendship with anyone. If you get annoying you will get blocked.
(2) Don't waste my time, I won't waste yours.
(3) If your profile is mostly blank, fill it in before you contact me. If you don't know yourself well enough to fill in a profile, go on a walkabout or journey of self-discovery. See rule #2.
(4) If you expect an instant response to every message, I might not be the best friend for you. Life gets busy.
I've had to add this due to the growing number of flakes, fakes and scammers using this site. To all the real people - good luck!
