Hello everyone! I'm excited to be doing something a little different to connect with folks in the Raleigh and surrounding area(s). I'm currently a student (spend most of my time at NCSU) and full-time employee. And although I have a great student community within reach, it's just hard to meet up with people when you have a full schedule on your plate. So here I am on FriendMatch! I'm just looking to get to know people in the area that perhaps I wouldn't get to meet otherwise. I think it's important to keep a (small) network of people in your life. Because it's those close friends that can create a safety net when you need encouragement, support or just someone to talk to about life.

To break the ice, here are some noteworthy tidbits about myself:

1. I love all things ice hockey and soccer related
2. I'm an avid fan of literature and films (particularly classic films)
3. Tea is my favorite beverage--so much so, I made a small business for kombucha because of it!
4. I'm originally from NY, but moved down here when I was young
5. I'm a bit of a foodie, particularly world cuisine. So if you have any recommendations, I'm game to grab a bite!

Those are just some of my interests in a nutshell. So how about we break the ice and you send me a few things about yourself that you'd like for me to know about? After all, it's the little things that people bond over.

For many years, I wanted to be a vet. My dream was to work with farm animals and zoo animals (mixed animal practice). I mean, who doesn't love the idea of working with monkeys and zebras everyday?

I have 2 pets-- a Rat-Cha mix, and a Beagle. They are both wonderful dogs who certainly keep this kiddo on her toes!

Single

Many things, as I focus on multiple books at once! But I am most focused on Snow Falling on Cedars by David Guterson. It's a great read and would highly recommend it--it's been an interesting plot with some unexpected twists.

I enjoy all genres of music--from classical to rock n'roll. My favorite genres I'd say are vocal jazz and folk. But I love when people introduce me to new artists, especially small time or unknowns. I often find new bands or artists that I unexpectedly come to love.
