Hello: I am a 60 yr old single guy living in northern Calif. near Sonora (Gold Country/Mother Lode if ya know the area). I live in a rural area and other than at work, which is a half an hours drive away, I have little social interaction. I live on a small farm and have had horses, cattle, goats etc in the past but none at the moment, I do have a huge garden and quite a few fruit trees and grow a lot of my own food. Looking for friends/penpals who share common interests. I have diverse and eclectic interests, including in no particular order: music (jazz, country, bluegrass, blues, southern gospel and more); gardening & botany; cooking - love Mexican, Italian, and good old comfort foods (my family is from the South); science and nature especially weather (meteorology) and geology. I love to read as well. I'm not very athletic but really enjoy hiking in the cooler months.
