FRIENDMATCH PURCHASE & REFUND POLICY

This Purchase & Refund Policy explains how payments, subscriptions, renewals, and refunds work for FriendMatch premium memberships and other paid features.

By purchasing a FriendMatch membership or any paid service, you agree to this policy.


1. Premium memberships and paid features

FriendMatch offers optional paid memberships and features (“Premium” or “Plus”), which provide additional benefits beyond the free plan.

Details about included features and pricing are shown at checkout and may change over time.

You can continue using FriendMatch for free if you do not choose a paid plan.


2. Payment processing

All payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider (such as Stripe).

  • We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
  • Your card issuer may place temporary holds, pending charges, or currency conversion fees depending on your region.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your payment information is accurate and up to date.

3. Auto-renewing subscriptions

If you purchase a monthly or yearly membership, it will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

At renewal:

  • Your saved payment method will be charged automatically
  • Your subscription period will reset for the next term
  • You will continue to have full access to premium features

Auto-renewal details are shown at checkout and in your account subscription settings.


4. How to cancel your subscription

You can cancel your premium membership at any time by:

  • Going to your FriendMatch account settings, or
  • Contacting us through the site if you need help

When you cancel:

  • Your premium benefits remain available until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not be charged again
  • Your account will revert to the free plan at the end of the period

Cancellation must occur before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for the next cycle.


5. Refunds

Unless otherwise required by local law, FriendMatch does not offer refunds for:

  • Partial months
  • Unused time
  • Accidental purchases
  • Forgetting to cancel before renewal
  • Downgrading early
  • Dissatisfaction with features
  • Not using the account

We encourage you to try the free version before upgrading.

Refund exceptions may be made only where required by applicable law in your region.


6. Chargebacks and disputes

Filing a chargeback through your bank or card provider should be a last resort.

If you submit a chargeback:

  • Your FriendMatch account may be suspended or permanently closed
  • Future purchases may be blocked
  • We may dispute the chargeback with documentation showing valid purchase and usage

7. Failed payments

If a payment fails (for example, expired card or insufficient funds):

  • We may retry the charge
  • Premium features may be paused until payment is completed
  • You will be notified so you can update your payment details

8. Price changes

FriendMatch may update prices from time to time. If prices change:

  • We will notify you in advance
  • New prices apply at your next renewal, not immediately
  • You can cancel before the renewal if you do not wish to continue

9. Taxes

Depending on your country or region, taxes or VAT/GST may be added at checkout.

These will be displayed before you complete your purchase.


10. Fraud and unauthorized use

If we detect unauthorized transactions, stolen cards, or fraudulent activity:

  • The account may be suspended or terminated
  • Charges may be reversed when appropriate
  • We may report fraud to the payment processor or authorities

If a purchase on your account was unauthorized, contact us immediately.
